Friday, March 29, 2013

Dear Friends,

It's been a busy first three months in Congress!  In the Budget Committee and on the floor of the House, I've fought hard against draconian cuts in the Ryan Budget that would shred our social safety net, repeal historic healthcare reforms, and put our economic recovery at risk....

California Assemblyman Jared Huffman announced support today from RPAC, the political arm of the National Association of REALTORS, following a unanimous recommendation and endorsement from the California Association of REALTORS CREPAC Trustees. In a statement, California Association of REALTORS CREPAC Chair Carol Facciponti cited Assemblyman Huffman’s efforts in Sacramento on behalf of the real estate industry as the rationale for their enthusiastic support for Huffman’s candidacy.

“In Congress, I look forward to working with Jared Huffman as he continues to stand up for homeowners and REALTORS and to ensure our voice is heard,” continued Facciponti. “His support for homeownership and private property rights here in the North Coast of California is just what California and the nation need from those representing us in Washington.”

“I’ve enjoyed a great working relationship with the REALTOR community as a state legislator and look forward to continuing that collaboration at the federal level,” said Huffman. “One of our many areas of mutual concern is finally ending the mortgage foreclosure crisis so that we can restore consumer confidence and get our economy moving again.”

The National Association of REALTORS was founded in 1908 and is America’s largest trade association with approximately one million members including NAR’s five commercial real estate institutes and its societies and councils. REALTORS are involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries and belong to one or more of some 1,400 local associations or boards, and 54 state and territory associations of REALTORS.
